Calendar Approved

The board voted on June 23, 2010 to approve the calendar for the 2010-2011 school year.   The first day of school will be August 23, 2010. Please find a copy of the approved calendar on our website or by clicking this link: 2010/11 Calendar

Technology Award
2010 National Center for Women & Information Technology Award
Two girls from Watsonville High, Idzel Cano and Brianna Flores, were recognized for their outstanding work in technology by a national organization.  Idzel and Brianna, freshmen at Watsonville High, were two of 25 girls from the bay area that were selected as recipients of the 2010 National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Bay Area Affiliate Award for Aspirations in Computing.

During his final state of the state address last month Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger assured the public that he would spare K-12 education in his next budget.  After two years of deep and damaging cuts to public education this was a welcome message.
